Eating out is a way of life for the French
- where the English have their pubs, the French have small bistros and
gastronomic delights! Montauban is no exception to this, and
over the last ten years we have explored the local
restuarants.
Here are some of our favourites......

Les Saveurs d'Ingres
A fantastic restaurant for that special occasion, and a must for
any gourmets out there. Located close to the Ingres Museum this
intimate restaurant consistently provides outstanding cuisine
for its patrons.

Au fil de l'Eau
Over the "Old Bridge" bridge from the town but well worth the short trip

Le Ventadour
This is a gem of a restaurant - very intimate, indeed there are only
twelve tables, the food is fantastic and a wine list to please every
connoisseur. Le Ventadour is on the far side of Montauban, facing the
River Garonne, almost facing the Ingres museum. This really is a
beautiful little place, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the
locals love it.

Les
Gorges de L'Averyon
Situated in the hills above the Averyon river, half way between
Bruniquel and the house, with a terrace for those warm summer evenings
this is another fantastic restaurant. This is the perfect setting for a
romantic evening meal.

Les Loges de l'Aubergade This restaurant is well outside Montauban but boasts fantastic French cuisine which draws in people from all over the region. The owners have turned this exquisite fortified bastide, formerly the seat of the Counts of Toulouse, into a crown jewel. website
