When flying early booking is recommended as you can get a return flight from the UK for under £100.

Toulouse (Blagnac Airport)  

Blagnac is 40mins drive from the house.

Bordeaux (Merignac Airport) 

Merignac is 2 hours from the house but the airport is very close to the Autoroute and the drive is a pleasant one through the wonderful vineyards of Bordeaux. Go fly here mainly in the summer but occasionally very cheap deals can be found.

Carcasonne (Salvaza Airport)

Salvaza is less than 1.5 hours from the house and the old town at Carcasonne is a breathtaking former castle which needs to be seen to be believed.

Car hire with most well known companies can be arranged at all of the airports mentioned above. 

By Car from UK

The drive down takes approximately 12-14 hours depending on the amount of stops made and the route taken. This can be arranged so that other French cities can be visited and an overnights stay makes the trip a pleasant one. There are plenty of vineyards to stop and visit whichever route you take so any spare boot space can be put to good use.

By Train

With car

If required you can travel down by train with your car. This journey is not very much quicker than driving but does mean that you can be well rested on your arrival.

On foot

The French train system is generally excellent and you can travel a variety of different routes.
