Montauban
The
pinkest of the pink cities,
Montauban is home to ...........

St Etienne de Tulmont
St Etienne is the local village
which is a mere 3
minute drive from the Chateau. You will find all necessary
amenities in
the village - pharmacy, boulangerie, butchers and even a SPAR
shop. At the
present time there is little to do within the village other than your
basic
shopping, however, we know that a new restaurant/ bar is being
developed.
To visit St Etienne you leave the Chateau from the main gates and
continue
straight on for 2 kilometres. We recommend you take the bikes
on a cool
morning and buy your baguette and chocolate eclairs - it is a very
pleasant trip
and the Stephanois* will make you very welcome!
[*Stephanois - the local
nickname for the residents of St Etienne]

St Antonin-Noble-Val
Famed
for its wealth of 13th - 15th century houses built by
merchants who had grown rich on the cloth trade. The ancient
hotel de
ville built in 1125 is one of the oldest examples of civic architecture
in
France, together with the covered market it forms a wonderful backdrop
to the
main square where you can enjoy a relaxing drink outside the local bar
